can i use a BOSE deck or not?? (urgent)
i have heard, on this board, no doubt, that to use a delco-BOSE deck, you have to use all the BOSE speakers too. ...something about weird watts or amps or volts...something like that. is that right?? anyone use the bose decks with an otherwise stock system?? thanks

I've done about all you can imagine with Bose systems, using aftermarket amps, speakers, subs, CD plavers, head units. The answer to your question is no, you can't use a bose decks to power anything but Bose amps and speakers. You see, the Bose systems have an individual amp for each speaker and the speakers are 2 ohlms (aftermarket head units run a little hot with them). My advise is that if you're not well versed in the Bose systems and you want better sound, is gut the Bose and start from scratch. The Bose stuff isn't worth the trouble to keep. Don't get me wrong, you can mix and match Bose and non-Bose components all you want, and it may sound good at first, but mixed components don't last long (blown speakers, amps and head units). If anyone wants answers to Bose questions, feel free to email me. I hope that helps.
