305 TPI to 350 carb wiring issues
Hey guys, this is my first thread, so I apologize if its in the wrong section, but I think we're good. Also, I'm not new to the forum per se, just to joining up!

I'm 90% sure its my fault that it isn't working, since it was just fine prior to my engine swap. I may have accidentally cut the hot line in my efforts to clean up the engine bay.
I have 3 lines from my positive terminal, one wire going to the starter solenoid, another to the positive post on the alternator, and a 12 gauge orange line that currently goes nowhere. I know that the orange wire is supposed to supply power to the fuse box, and connects into the BAT slot. I did notice that in following that line out the back of the fuse box, it went up behind the dash into what looked like a black box of some sort (junction?) and then more cables coming out to somewhere, I couldn't follow them without tearing off the dash.
I suppose my question is, where does the orange wire enter the engine bay so that I can reconnect it to the positive terminal.
Sidenote: I tried bypassing the original line into the fuse box by unplugging the orange wire in the back of the fuse box at BAT and ran a line through the engine bay with a 30 amp fuse inline to the same terminal on the fuse box. I got power to the box somewhat. It blew the courtesy fuse but my under dash lights work when its hooked up. But nothing else is getting power in the fuse block, just the courtesy terminal, even with the key in the "on" position.
Also, there is an aftermarket viper security system 550 ESP that the previous owner had installed (which i hate), when I hook up my makeshift line to the fuse box, the computer box of the security system makes a bunch of clicking noises.
One more thing, my cigar lighter would always be active if i have the actual cigar lighter in, so i removed the connector from the back of that. Wasn't sure if that would have any effect.
If theres anything other information that would help, let me know!
