305 Carbureted swaping to LT1 completely fuel injected

I have an 83 Trans Am that I am planning on turning into KITT from Knight Rider and i am wanting to take out my 305 and put in a beefed up LT1 from a newer Trans Am into it. I plan on putting a supercharger on it sometime in the future but i am wondering if anyone has done this to this old of a car. I would appreciate any help i can get from anyone with any problems i may run into and what all parts i may need from the doner car. I know that i want to get all the wiring, computer and i am going to need an electronic fuel pump as well. If you can help me out i would be very greatful.

They used to put the LT1 in the old Corvettes (70's), so I don't think your car is all that old.

Ummm, Mutiny, I think you're getting the LT-1 from the early 70's (370 hp gross) confused with the LT1 used in the 90's. Chevy traded on the reputation of that engine to the confusion by many.
