GM Performance 12530282. Anyone bought one?
I have a rod knocking in my engine. (Stupid trans servo hanging up caused me to over rev it one to many times I guess.)
It only has 58,000 miles on it but its a 305 so I am going to pull the plug and buy another motor instead of doing a crank kit.
I am wanting to buy this motor: http://www.jegs.com/i/GM%20Performan...0002/-1?CT=999
And either a high-flow base plate or Stealth ram. Before I put this in I would also change the valve springs or cut deeper pockets and change the springs for a better cam. I would also do a little port work to the heads if I thought they needed it.
Seems to me I should be able to go over 400hp for cheap this way..
Sorry for the book.
Anyone used this engine before? Any good.
Thanks

Hey man, how did this engine turn out for you? I ordered the same exact one and put my TPI set up on it with some hooker comp shorties. Probably will get it fired up in a day or two.
