Header Hunting
Recently I found some Hooker short tube headers on Craigslist that are supposed to fit the thirdgen series. However, the guy says that they are tested for 86-90 models and do not know if they will fit my model which is a 92. The tubes look the same on them but they have something else hanging off the top of them and if making me question if they will fit. So if one of you guys that are experts of the exhaust system could tell me if these headers will fit my 92 305tbi, it will be much appreciated. I will leave the link to the post so you guys can see what they look like.

Yes they will fit the engine and the chassis.
"Hanging off the top" sounds like you are talking about the AIR tubing.
What they may or may not fit, is the stock exhaust. They won't fit your stock Y-pipe, which you wouldn't want to re-use anyway, so you'll have to buy that. But all the rest of the stock exhaust needs to go away anyway, EVERY PIECE from the heads to the bumper, so what you would do is get the right Y-pipe from Hooker, a 3" cat-back exhaust of your choice (I used a Hooker on mine), and a cat with the right input to fit the headers and outlet to fit the exhaust.

Re: Header Hunting
Those are 2055's man, great headers. Probably most used standard issue aftermarket for our cars. But like Sofa said you'll need a Y pipe to match em. And exhaust if you are still running factory. Search 2055 Hooker on here, that'll give ya an idea about what your getting into. And yes, those are the air tubes on top. Just like the the one's your factory exhaust manifolds have. You'll need those (2055's do come w/o air tubes also) if your state has emissions test.
