Re: Any Sources For Factory Radiator Hose Clamps?
You're probably going to have to source those wire type of clamps from a repro Ford parts seller. I'm thinking late 60's - early 70's.

There is also the hard to find "Christmas tree" looking clamps... only seen the worm clamps.
Have you tried a dealer?

Good idea, I have found discontinued factory items at a dealer previously. It does take a cooperative parts guy who doesn't mind searching the system. I wish I had a part number for them.

I guess a better question is, does anyone have a part number for these clamps? Just changed my title.

My 1990 GM parts book shows the worm gear hose clamps as GM # 25527699. Hope you can match that up...

It may not be exactly the same as the original, all you can do is try...

Those Aren't The Wire Type Clamps,Not Sure If GM Used The Wire Type During The Full 1982-1992 Model Run,They May Have Changed.

I used the above part numbers and ordered a 5 pack, (only way they come from GM), from a local Chevy dealer.
I'll see what they're like when they come in.

Charlie let me know what they look like when they come in. I need to change my upper radiator hose and wouldn't mind putting some fresh clamps on mine are starting to look pretty junky. How much was the 5 pack?

Re: Anyone Have a Part Number For These Factory Radiator Hose Clamps?
Nothing finishes off a stock engine compartment as well as a factory ink marked upper rad hose and proper clamps. I'm not too fussy on the "Christmas tree" center-pull clamps, but the double wire type used on third gens are great. As long as they don't corrode, get bent by hasty removal or get stripped, they will remain serviceable indefinitely.

Went to get the clamps. They were the modern replacements not the OEM ones I wanted. But I've got another lead......

This going to be tougher than I thought. Even with the proper part #, they've been replaced with the newer band type clamps.

What about these clamps?

Or

Or these

Just google wire hose clamp and several clamps will pull up.

Re: Anyone Have a Part Number For These Factory Radiator Hose Clamps?
The woodcraft ones are the closest.
If you really want the right ones, go to a junkyard and look on the ground near any GM car of this era. Grab as many as you can get, the guy at the front desk probably won't even charge you for them. Although hose clamps on most cars have been changed to the gear type within it's lifetime, it's possible that some made it to the junkyard with the originals.
The good news is this type of clamp can be restored if it's not too far gone.

I'm having my mechanic scour JYs for them now.
Just kidding.
My friend thinks he's got a few. They need detailing, but I'm not afraid of that.

Re: Anyone Have a Part Number For These Factory Radiator Hose Clamps?
When did GM switch to the flat band style spring clamps? My GTA still has both factory upper clamps while I have long since replaced the lowers. Did they do it in 1990 when they went from MAF to MAP?

I think it was sometime around the MAF to MAP switch.

Remember Circ=2╥R (Since you are looking for a Diameter, just ╥D)... Since you can calculate the circumference by using a string, wrap it around the circle you want to know the radius to and measuring the length of the string. (could use a tape measure too)
You then take your measurement (say it is 6.28") then divide by ╥ (3.14) and you would know it is a 2" dia clamp you need.

Just emailed them. http://www.murraycorp.com/pdf/cat-pa...grip-clamp.pdf
Let's see if they require a minimum order and if they have info on the correct size.

Got an email back. It appears like the smallest number is 500 at about $3.25 or so each. I'm trying to see if a smaller quantity is available or if they can point me to a retailer.

We may have to find another source. The rep says that they make these clamps in large volumes and sell them to car restorers. Of course, we'd need to also know the exact dimensions of the upper and lower clamps.

Like I said, I would be in for 12, 6 of each size.
200-250 min. order would probably be easy to hit. But 500....like John said....250 3rd gens!
