Body shop success story SE Michigan

My daughters T/A was looking a little rough around the edges. She decided it was time for a real paint job. I took it to Austins Body Shop in Holly, MI. Not only did they do a fantastic job, but it was finished in exactly one month. No paint shop jail for Drifty.

Painting

The front bumper was sent out to be stripped and dipped(?), rear fenders sand blasted, new windshield, jambs painted, fender replaced, base, clear coat and new decals. The paint is super smooth.

Wheels and tires

The body shop was pretty offended having the car roll out on the old nasty wheels and tires. I corrected that a few weeks later. I was left with the impression the painter Mark enjoyed the project. I checked in on it weekly and was always welcomed back into the shop to see the progress with detailed descriptions of what was done.

For all the horror stories you hear, I had to share this happy tale. If you get near Davisburg, stop by and check the car out.

Hi there,
That's great to hear. Holly is a little far from me, I am in Livonia. But I might consider them, from the look of your car. Thanks for the write-up.

I think it is worth the trip. Small town, small shop attention. If you want to check the car let me know.

That was $6200 worth of work on a car insurance says is only worth $2500. I'm sure it didn't look this good when it was brand new though. The thousand dollar Macco job a few years ago was an improvement over the faded and chalked paint at that time. I also did most of the labor myself back then, disassembly, sanding (crappy), reassembly and decals. The quality didn't hold a candle to how the car looks now and I didn't lift a finger this time.
