Lee 670 Series 12:1 Steering Box

I finally pulled the trigger and purchased one of these. There isn't a whole lot of info online regarding these boxes, and most of it being anecdotal, or directly for the manufacturers themselves (Flaming River, AGR, etc.)

So I installed yesterday, and the results are in; the hype is real.

I've only driven it around for a day, but this is IMO the closest you will ever get to a rack and pinion feel with a steering box. The road feel is excellent, and there is no famous "dead spot". It fit perfectly in the car, too. (Note: I had them grind off the forth mounting boss, as that is used for trucks only and would interfere with a spot on the frame).

I highly recommend this gear.

Great. Big help if you follow up in 6 months.

Looks cool! Interesting they used safety wire on the cap bolts. At least we know they are ****! Definitely give us a report down the road.

Re: Lee 670 Series 12:1 Steering Box

Sounds cool. Did the exterior dimensions change at all or is it a factory box with upgraded guts?
