1.6 roller rockers
I have a GMP crate motor 330 hp. It has 1.55 rockers on it now. If or can I put 1.6 rockers on the engine and change the profile of the cam? Would it make it run any different?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: 1.6 roller rockers
What cam is in it? It's likely to be the ZZ3/ZZ4 cam in a 330 GM crate motor. If so, you won't gain anything from 1.6's on the exhaust, but may pick up just a smidge on the intakes.

Re: 1.6 roller rockers
Its a carry over cam from the mid-late 90s 300 HP 350 crate engine. I think it is like 212/222 @ .050 with .435/.460" lift. With stock heads he is going to run into valve seal to retainer clearance issues on the exhaust side. He should be able to get away running 1.6s on the intake and 1.5s on the exhaust. The Ramjet 350 uses the same cylinder head/valve springs with a full set of 1.6 rockers on a cam that has .431/.451" lift. Exhaust lift on the Ramjet 350 is .481" which is at the absolute limit of a stock vortec head.
