Re: cam help please
i think nobody wants to give an opinion because the next guy will of course say, "no, thats not what you want." LMAO!
I didnt see a mention of F.I. or carb. IS this going to be a dedicated drag race or pro-street type build? How high do you want to push the RPM's?
I'm thinking your looking at a nitrous cam with lots of duration and lift, going by the information provided and the brake. probably somewhere around a 290 on up duration?
OK,...the ice has been broken.

Re: cam help please
thanks both for your reply's yes this will be a 99% track raced drag car from now on beside the occasional once or twice a year drive across town for a show it will be carb not fi im still deciding if im gonna run alcohol or race gas race gas is allot easier to get in my area then alcohol with the heads and intake im using i would say i would need to pull around 7.5 to 8 thousand rpm to use there power im not sure if i should use sold roller or hydrolic roller i whould think solid with that high of rpm what do you think this will be my first roller build always used flat tappit before this but tired of loosing on the big end

Re: cam help please
You are better off solid. But you can get a hydraulic that high but you need short travel morel lifters, big pushrod, shaft rocker for precise geometry and pretty stout springs with titanium retainer. Cam lobe has to be relatively milder to for top end stability

Re: cam help please
Right... what bracket, dial-in, goal, whatever... wouldn't hurt to tell us how long a track you plan to run as well.
Those pesky details.
