Bad inj?????
1986 trans am LB9
already how's it going guys I have a problem running very very very rough wanting to die everything checks out good I checked out the ignition, replace the wires, replace the cap and rotor and the coil, no vacuum leaks, fuel pressure good, no codes.
but I did test the fuel injectors and I will write them down but I am not real sure what I am looking at I need to know rather I have a bad injector or injectors...
I ohms my injectors here is what they turned out to be
Cyl
1... 16.7
2... 17
3... 16.8
4... 16.7
5... 16.6
6... 16.8
7... 16.8
8... 16.7
Are these OK??
I read somewhere that they should be
16.0 +/- .5

Re: Bad inj?????
they probably ohm out good, but at that age, the spray pattern, if any, is crappy.I would buy a new set of Bosch III's from Southbay.
If you want to check them for spray pattern and see if any are clogged, you could take it all apart and hold the fuel rail over some towels and hit the key to check. But at that point, they're already out and you might as well change them. You can't go wrong.
