gettin car running after long term storage
6 years ago I blew my tranny on my 90 tpi formula,i put it on a lift and it has been there ever since.
I'm planning on getting it down as soon as the snow melts up here in mn,i.m thinking of using the fuel pump to pump out all the old fuel,is there anything I should add to the new fuel to maybe clean the injectors?
other than changing all the normal fluids what else would you do? or is it a simple fresh gas and oil and see how my new tranny works?
thanks
pete

clean out your entire fuel system, change the filter and definitely have the injectors cleaned or replaced especially if they are the stock multecs. After sitting for that long you probably have plenty of gunk sitting in your tank.

Re: gettin car running after long term storage
I'm sure the car has the stock injectors, some were replaced under warranty as they were shitty. have a set of 30 lb ford injectors I could put in and I'm ordering up some new toys to get back into chip burning. i'll likely just pump out the tank then put on a new filter along with 5 gallons of new 92 fuel along with some sea foam and take it for a spin.hope it runs smooth.
if you think the 30's are too much what would you recommend?
I can push 6 lb boost and run water injection along with a 6al-btm retarding timing to keep the motor from blowing up
thanks
