t56 with t5 adapter plate

I just ordered a t56 from a 93-97 camaro with an adapter plate for a t5 bellhousing. Does anyone know if I need a custom driveshaft? If so what are the measurements. Also do i need a different torque arm?

Re: t56 with t5 adapter plate

You're asking about two different things here. If you get a stock T56 from a 93-97 LT1, it will not work with the T5 adaptor plate. You need the Tremec aftermarket T56 that is designed as the T5 replacement. And that one needs a driveshaft and torque arm that are about 1 3/4" to 2" shorter.
The stock LT1 T56 works with the stock length parts, but needs the shifter tunnel cut back about 2" for the shifter to line up.

Re: t56 with t5 adapter plate

I got it from a place called driveline. Its in Las Vegas they ship nation wide.
The adapter plate is custom made to fit an lt1 to a t5 bellhousing. So that I dont need a t56 bellhousing.

Re: t56 with t5 adapter plate

It better have a long input or it won't reach the pilot bearing.
The T-5 bellhousing is deeper than a LT1 by 2".
