Strange Slam from beneath the car

So , I was out driving the other day, used the kickdown function, and then: BAM!!!

Felt like I was gonna brake my spine. The "sound", or slam or w/e felt like something massive that hit the car just beneath/ in the middle of the front seats. Felt like the car was going to seperate into two pieces.

What was this? at first i thought I just hit an invisible roadbump or something but then it happened two or three times more. Only when I really hit the throttle..

Re: Strange Slam from beneath the car

most likely the trans rubber mount is done for. Not hard or expensive to replace.

X2. The following may provide some food for thought:

Re: Strange Slam from beneath the car

Only a few things that can cause that kind of noise in that area. Either the transmission smacked the tunnel because the mount broke. Or the tq arm mount is loose.

I replaced mine but it doesn't like the new engine and occasionally bangs. I'm going to have to install the ES mount I have I think.
