Our New Message Board

For those of you that may not know, I would like to invite you over to our new message forum at Jenibella Racing. I hope to see some new and old friends over there. Also, there is a section for the F-Body Invasion (FBI), the new I.E. club without a generation restriction. Please check it out, thanks!

Another great place to 'virtually' hang out with friends, thanks to George and Jenibella for setting it all up

You guys are more than welcomed! I am positive it will grow to be a great forum with a relaxed, tailored-to-racing environment.

Events, more events!

Wait, that was the outside voice

Hey George. It's Ken, the dude who drove from Bakersfield to p/u the Ronals. Haven't mounted them yet, have to get the new engine into the 5.0.

Valencia is only an hour away. I don't see tons of posts/replies on jenibella yet (although I am sure there will be many more soon), but I hope things warm up down south, as the big V is only an hour from here.

Peace,

K

Hey Ken, yeah I saw that you joined, thanks! It is growing, slowly but surely. Hope to see you around, post up when you mount those Ronals.

Definitely will do...

...I will probably clean them (and see about a "best tire for the dusty hell that is Bakersfield") asap, as I love the Formy too much to leave it alone, even as I thrash on the F0rd

Ahh, so you cant just plan events in the 909 and invite everyone. You have to have your own regional club in the area to have events there. I understand now.

By the way, what do you mean "finally"? You guys have had what, three or four IE clubs now?

I have been involved in several clubs that once existed and then faded away. The first was SC3FB - which when it ended, in a way I would later find was quite common for car clubs, the founder decides to close up shop and go home because they don't like what the 'members' have done to 'their' club. Really sad, I don't see a need to create another f-body club to satisfy the needs of individuals of a certain geographic area; I see the need to create an f-body club that welcomes enthusiastic members regardless of f-body generation affiliation as well as regardless of geographic location. Time will tell if what I think is wrong, but I know that people will have fun while it lasts and that in the past club events have provided me the opportunity to meet people I am now very happy to call my closest friends.

I do see the need to create a club that does not exclude members based on generation ownership because I own f-bodies from two different generations. I know that there are already clubs in Southern California (ie SCFB) that were created for that purpose but perhaps I am foolish enough to think that there is room for another? I have an agenda for the first meeting regardless how meager the attendance will be, and if after multiple meetings the membership does not grow then obviously either one of two things will happen:

1) The club will fail
2) There will be a club with a small membership devoted to having fun - which is what it's all about *

*and based upon the people that have expressed interest it is going to be one helluva group
