Car: 1968 Camaro
Engine: 406
Transmission: Tremec TKO
Axle/Gears: 3.42
It's all in the heads. Put in a huge cam and AFR 227's, a miniram or lt1 intake, a big stall, and like 5.30 gears. That's the easy way.

You could just buy a supercharger with a really a really small blower drive pulley.Put a pair of 76cc heads and a blower cam in.

The fun way costs more than $5000. It involves a 502, extensive headwork, a big camshaft, a rebuilt transmission, a new rear-end, drag radials.

LMAO at Superblue87Formula!

How about a GN turbo V6 swap? Someone on this board has done it, just don't remember who. That would be sweet!:hail:

I would build a 434 small block, with a roller cam,a good set of after market heads such as Pro Action, Dart or Afr's it could be built for less than 5K and with the right gears it would put deep in the 11's.

Car: 1986 Z28
Engine: 355
Transmission: th400
something like this would do ya good

if you like Mail order stuff..

All you need is a well prepped block(355)
the Summit(billy Mitchell actually) Hardcore racing Rotating assembly.
$1795

Brodix Top End package from summit
$1995 (includes, intake valve covers, springs, spark plugs, head bolts, inatke bolts and such. the whole tope end basically

XR 274 Kit from summit + lifters, pushords and rocker arms $850

Add distributor of your choice, 750 cfm holley carb, and a waterpump, and timing chain, and your set

should be right bout 5000-5300 bucks. and get you enough horsepower/torque to get a very poor driver deep into the 11's

Ok.. it's more of a 10 sec. combo.. but hey.. it's fun .. and still streetable
