Has anyone tried these? I was looking on tirerack.com and these were the cheapest Ultra High Performance tire they had for my T.A.(245/50 R16). At $86 you cant beat that! Check out the customer comments at: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/kumho/ku_712.jsp

I'm running the Z-rated on the front (like the ones in the pic) and I like them....they seem better then the 255/50ZR Falkens I have on the rear....

You can get spend $3 a piece less in the same size on the Yokohama Avid T-4's. It's an awesome all around quality tire at a pretty cheap price. I am pretty happy with mine (got the 235/55/16 factory size for even less). That was my choice after extensive comparing, I too didn't want to spend a lot and I believe it is a better tire. Do you really need the Z rating? I didn't.

I had them for a little while and didn't like them much. The price isn't bad at all though. I have Falkens now and am very happy.

i used to have summer job as tire monkey 10 years ago and that shop sold kumho tires. quality of kumho's from monkey point of view was great. if wheel was german made or brand new aluminum, there was no need for extra weights. now i have 255/50 falkens on the back and those are slippery as **ll on dry surface but makes right noise and good smoke

I have 4 sitting out on my patio (245/50 16). I was waiting to get my 3.73 and posi in so I could ruin the current tread and then get the new ones on. I've heard nothing but good things about these tires and from the looks, I think I'll be another believer.

They are great tires! Cheap and go great! I pulled a 2.05 60ft with them on my stock 91Z. My boddy has the 255's on his 87 Z51 vette and pulled 1.9 on the 60fts.

I have been really happy with them.I ran the Dunlop 5000's and a set of Michelin Pilots before I got the Kumhos. Since the swap to the Kumho 712's,I haven't used anything else. There are a lot of Stangs and Camaros running around here with Kumhos. The road race comp tire from Kumho was rated as the best tire in its class for the money.

if you want some pretty good reviews on tires, go to www.tirerack.com and under each tire it will have user reviews of the tire. most high performance tire reviews are by people who own porches, F-bodies, or M-series beemers, and they drive them pretty hard. But yea, everyone there said the kuhmo tires are very good, especially for the price.. its a korean tire btw, thought someone earlier said german, maby im wrong

I've confirmed it. Got the tires on and a wheel balance with alignment for hard street use (in the tech articles or FAQ I believe). These tires rock! I had my 4 friends in the car and they hook a LOT better than the dunlop sp8000's. As for hot day dry traction, I have yet to really compare since it's been wet for a few days. Definatly worth the sub $400 price tag shipped!!!
Pictures are in my new post on these tires.
