Install of SLP Cold Air on 92 TA is a lot of work
This weekend I installed a SLP Cold Air Intake on the 92 TA. Now thats its done Im happy, but I can tell you that spending 6-8 hours just to put on a cold air is a bit much.
Due to the size of the airbox, the charcoal canaster has to be moved to the other side of the car near the battery. On the surface it seems like no big deal, but it involved remoting 3 vaccume lines and one power connector...it was a big deal.
Not hard mind you, just a lot of work.
SLP did not supply enough parts to do the install, poor instructions and supplied template to drill holes that was backwards...You would think SLP could do a better job than that!
In the end, Im happy, but what an event just to install a cold air kit. For the marginal gains I would really think twice before spending $200 and the pain to do the install.

I was never impressed with the slp cai... 200 bucks for the heat shielded open element and a stock intake arm...

I just relocated the charcoal canister into the nose of the car...I just needed longer vacuum hose(I think it comes with the kit?)
Took a little time to drill the holes for the airbox ...but I 'd say under 2 hours invested to get it in...and I'd never done one before. Not showing off or nothing...it probably would have taken much longer if I relocated the canister next to the battery...which makes no sense to me.I just passed emissions with no problem awhile back so I know it is working right. The elbow have a metal braket in it to guide airflow/and to keep the bellow from collasping under heavy acceleration which supposedly they do after age...

I just wedged the cannister between the radiator and the battery on the drivers side. No problems in three years. The harders part was getting the airbox in place w/o breaking it.
Took me maybe 1 1/2 to install it. The only thing I wouls have done is made my own wiring harness. SLP sharged me $20 for two wires and butt connectors with conduit over it!
