H4 conversion??
I'm wanting to upgrade my headlights because my stock setup sucks, and was thinking that H4 would be the way to go.
1st because the headlight units look way better than stock 2nd because I feel they would produce much better visibility
If any one who reads this has had any experiance whith the H4 conversion and could share their personal thoughts or opinions it would be great. I'd like to know all the pros and cons. Thanks!

An H4 conversion is where you swap out your stock sealed beam headlights for new headlight units that have removable bulbs. It's supposed to be a vast improvemnet over stock regarding visibility.

ive done it with my car, upgrading the wiring makes a noticable improvement, and so does purchasing the top notch bulbs, aka silverstars.

i bought the pilot headlights and apc wiring harness through my local auto parts store, kragen. the wiring harness took some rewiring at the plugs but everything else worked fine. i have the sylvania silverstars, and when i park next to my friend which he has standard halogen silverstars, mine are still way brighter. i am running the h4 bulbs so whatever the watts are rated on them im not sure. 55 or 60 i think

Hi All,
The H4 conversion is awsome upgrade. I did the conversion almost two years ago and never thought twice about it. I used the APC wiring harness, housing, and super white H4 blubs. I had to modified the internal headlight support brackets in order for the APC housings to fit.

so when you guys use the apc wiring harness, all the bulbs work correctly? i was having trouble with all four coming on when it was switched to low beams.
let me know something, and i will go buy that kit.

I wired up my own harness and the difference is truly unbelievable. I recommend you make your own if you're somewhat competant with the soldering iron.
