Fuel Tank Sending Unit
I was on Rock Auto and I found this sending unit, SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # FG20A. I was wondering if that is a good sending unit because it is
$200 dollars cheaper than the one at autozone. So if anyone has used this I would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

Re: Fuel Tank Sending Unit
Have one in my 85 since last Oct. Works fine. I suggest you hook it up under the car before you put it in the tank and then move the float up and down with the ign.key on while someone else watches to see if your fuel guage displays correctly. That way you'll know if it is good. You would hate to put it in and find out later it is defective. Saw this happen once. Made two people very unhappy.
I might add that the one's that auto parts order for our cars usually are the Spectra, then they bump up the price. As for the Spectra replacement fuel tank for our cars, skip it. It is a POS.https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/afte...-gas-tank.html
