after market floor mats....

I encourage anyone looking for replacement mats to check out www.khrantenterprises.com

They produce floor mats that are better than most factory mats for nearly all manufactures and you custom order with the color of carpet, edge binding and logo if applicable (mine are Palomino with black bird). You can upgrade the thickness....and order with foam or rubber ribbed backing

I am not affiliated with the company in any way, but so far I have purchased 4 sets of mats for several cars I've owned, and have been very happy with the quality and service.

I'm in the process of restoring a '83 Trans Am with 44,000 actual - and I've included a couple pictures here:

I didn't take any pics of that side - but the fitment seemed really good.

Re: after market floor mats....

No problem...$140, plus shipping. Keep in mind, any color combo you want and mine included the embroidered bird. After getting them, I might have done the edges in black too - pretty good match with my stock interior though.

If you want EXCELLENT style and fittment floor mats, this is the place to purchase a set for your Camaro or Firebird. A complete set of floor mats front and rear are $105.90 shipped for the ones in the picture that I just installed in my Z28

Re: after market floor mats....

The color doesn't seem to match too good. Car motorsports has a natural color that matches almost dead on.

Re: after market floor mats....

I purchased these from www.usspeed.com. These are the best I have run across. They even have the piece that extends up the left foot rest. Quality, workmanship and design seem second to none.

Re: after market floor mats....

Lloyd's mats are nice but the passenger side isn't contoured to the floor. So it ends up looking weird.

That is strange, mine are absolutely perfect on both sides. I will try and take a picture of the passenger side and attach on my next post. I have all new carpet and thicker than stock insulation so the "bucket" isn't quite as pernounced as stock. The main reason I liked the Lloyd's was it is made from a berber carpet that stands up to a lot of punishment (home or auto).

Interesting. Is you passenger side molded? Mine isn't. I also have more "stuff" under the carpet than most. I can get mine to look ok, but as soon as you touch it, it gets all messed with a kink in it.

Re: after market floor mats....

Take a look at the passenger side pictures, these fit perfectly and come with carpet anchors so they can't move when you put your feet on them.

Has anybody tried car motorsports? I'm sure they contract out to somebody, but who?

See your third picture. It has a relief cut out of it. Mine doesn't have that. That is where the kink occurs. I guess they made a design change after they realized they didn't fit well, . I have thought about adding a cutout like that, but now seeing yours I'm not all that crazy about the cut vs molding the mat correctly.

Car: 1987 Black IROC-Z (SOLD)
Re: after market floor mats....

Fron & rear silver floor mats from 1Aauto @ $120. good fit and conform to the uneven front floor of 1987 Iroc-Z28. I had IROC-Z on a previous black set and did not like the lettering.
