UMI Roto-Joints

I just installed them in my rear control arms and panhard bar and am very happy. I replaced spherical joints that were very noiesy. The roto joints are as quiet as stock, as best as I remember ( it's been a while since the stockers were in there. Very fast shipping too, I ordered online, Labor day monday, recieved thursday. Thank UMI, Dean.

Now that you've had some time to try them out, what do you think? How long do they last? What kind of driving did you put them through? I am trying to decide between the roto joints and spherical bearings.

If you do much street driving at all I wouldn't use the spherical, they transmit a lot of road noise, they work good but are just noisy. If you choose the bearings, they need to be the highest quality, teflon lined type, much $$$. I still like the roto joints. I have removed the roto joints once, to tighten them up, which is one feature I like about them. Other than that there good to go. They do transmit more noise than the stock rubber but not nearly as much as the heim joints.

I was going to post a separate review of these, but since this thread already exists I figured I'd just add to it.

I replaced my panhard, and LCA's with the UMI double adjustable roto-joints.

I've had several thousand miles on the car now, and the noise is barely worse than the stock rubber ones they replaced, and the rear end now feels much more solid and connected. Some of that is because the stock bushings were very worn out, so they had alot of deflection. But they are definitely worth the money. When the delrin begins to wear you can just use the spanner wrench to re-tighten them. Then using the zerk fitting just pump them full of some waterproof grease again to keep them lubed up. And when the delrin cups FINALLY wear out. You an easily rebuild the joint without expensive metal parts because the delrin will wear out before any of the metal will.

Re: UMI Roto-Joints

I also have had great results from the UMI roto-joint components I installed on the car over the winter.

Double ended rot-joint setup on the panhard bar and same on the rear lower control arms. very tight setup, minimal noise, no negative issues. good job to UMI

Re: UMI Roto-Joints

I finally found a road that makes me want to blow my brains out though. They made it out of concrete, and poorly joined the different sections. At highway speeds it makes you think you have a flat tire and its never ending mile after mile. OMG the GTA made me want to commit suicide.
