Skipwhite or White Performance SBC Starter

Don't buy this starter, its a piece of s**t. The flexplate and starter gear wouldn't line up with shims or no shims. I called and they knew of this problem and told me to send it back for a refund. It cost me 19$ to ship back. I would just stay away from cheap starters, lesson learned. Also, when I opened the package the starter had greasy thumb print on and grease on the shims like its been used before.

Actually I just bought one of those and it fits great in my car. Only odd thing is when its.spinning the arm goes back and fourth really sounding like crap but its getting the job done.

Yeah, I got a defective one. I still lost over 22 bucks in my shipping.

You guys do know that cheap and quality do not belong in the same sentence right?

Re: Skipwhite or White Performance SBC Starter

My local speed shop swears by PowerMaster starters. The Chevy mini starter #9000 has a rotational install set up all for ~$170.00.
