I hope i don't get screwed
Last night i bought an SS hood off ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350453742472&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
After the fact, i decided to do some research here on thirdgen and to my surprise there's nothing but complaints out of these fiberglass hoods. Should i get a refund and go to hawks or is this the same product? This guy has some good feedback especially with the tuners . When it shows up i will give it a good look over make sure it fits right on my 82 and if not i will get a refund and lesson learned.
My question is has anyone had any luck with this hood?

I put it on my brothers car and painted it, i got his 91-92 blisters in return for helping out. it's not perfect but we made it work.

I love those hoods, but yeah that gap is too much
Once it's all dialed in it should look good though

fitment is the least of your problems. the threaded mounting holes will tear out as well.

Re: I hope i don't get screwed
I used thread tape just to be sure, that is something to look out for. From the looks of the holes and the way they were made on the ss hood, they look just like the holes from the original 82 z28 fiberglass hood i have. So lets knock on wood that's the least of my worries. cheers

Looks warped in the middle with large side gaps. Just like my Hawks RAII hood. Yuck

Yeah man, it's warped.... Sucks but my brother likes it and everyone else, the gape is gone we fixed that. just lowered the latch a half inch. I would never buy a glass hood, to much BS to get right. imo.
The blisters are going on my hood can't wait.

Cheap hood fit poorly. High quality hoods fit like steel hoods but you have to pay for them
