Re: LED Headlights
The previous post I made, those are the $90 (4 headlights with halos) from Ebay (search for 4x6 halo) I loved them for a while, however, they sure seem less intense than they were when I purchased them. They still work but the intensity of them seems about half of what they were when I purchased them a year ago. I suppose it could be some of the brighter led's I have now.
My goal this year is to take a set like these and take them apart and put in SMD led's that are addressable. I found the led's I plan on purchasing, just have to find the time to do it!

Re: LED Headlights
I have the JW Speaker LED's in my Kenworth. Well worth the money! However, a little pricey @ $300/light to put in the Camaro.

Those JW Speaker headlights are 4x6 that fit Camaros. The JW Speaker 5x7/7x6 that fits Firebirds is linked in posts #44 and #45 of this thread. Firechicken has them, and he has a video here on TGO showing them.

Here's a link to the 4x6 JW's.
I don't know where you guys can get them apart from ordering them online.
I'm in Alberta, Canada and we can buy them at most truck supply stores as a lot of us travel in the bush for oilfield work.
Costs us about $1300 for a full set.

I have like $8 Sylvania head lights aimed properly and they work extremely well. Those JW units look very nice but at that price do you have to worry about getting the European one that are pointed the wrong way?

Re: LED Headlights
Opinions on the stock style headlights are relative. If you drive in city mainly, they work great. If you drive on highways outside of cities they are poor to fair. If you drive on rural roads they are useless in anything but bright mode. If you compare them to newer lights they are poor and to hid lights it is a huge difference. Go from a car with hid lights to your car and you will think your headlights aren't even on. You can upgrade stock lights to the silver stars by Sylvania but the filaments always burned out faster for me.

Proper aiming of the lights is the key. I can not argue the point that modern lights are brighter. If that modern bright light is not aimed properly you still will not see any better. I drive a lot to and from all types of places ranging from the middle of nowhere to the city. I use my hi beams as much as traffic will allow and this is in my 04 3/4 ton truck with more modern lighting. A friend of mine had the opportunity to drive my camaro when dark and commented on how well he was able to see.

Re: LED Headlights
I've had my custom JW Speaker headlights on my camaro for a year or two now. Best lights I've ever had on a vehicle, great for night driving and they look cool. Helps knowing someone who works at JW!
