Fuel tank swap
does anybody have first hand reviews of the Aeromotive Stealth II tanks? Quality, price for value of product, performance reviews, etc. Any info helps
swapping OE tank cause it had fuel from 1999 in it and it’s not compatible with FI

Re: Fuel tank swap
Eh 14 gallons should be good. What was the 84 Z28 originally? Just curious

Re: Fuel tank swap
I too have this tank and its been great. It was a little tricky to install because the neck wasn't exactly like stock and if I had to do it over again, I'd probably modify the neck with a rubber section like the 4th gens for easier install and better alignment in the fuel door. Rest of the setup is fine and has plenty of juice to support my 600+ hp.

The tank its self is nothing special same thing you will get from 1a auto or rock auto. Then they use this pick up

That’s it out the box. Either way probably better than the stock 84 tank that was in there with super old gas. Motor for now might push 350hp to the dirt so I’m guessing it’s future proof for awhile at least. Carb application for now but sniper in the near future. Thoughts? Inputs?

The filler tube was about 1 inch off center on mine. I bent it back the 1 inch and it sits centered now. It was a pain in the *** to put the tank in. I think I'd rather do an engine than the tank again. I didn't have a lift. That would have helped a lot. The rear and exhaust needed to be out of the way. I've had all of mine a part a ton, it was just the hassle of pulling so much just to do the tank. The pump and fuel sender work as they should and the pump is quieter the the inline one I used to have so that's a plus.

I agree! Just pulling the stock tank without a lift was a b!tch. Lots of bad words were said. And that’s with the car on jackstands, entire rear and exhaust removed. It’s that stupid filler neck. Did they build the car around it?! Lol

Yeah, next time I need to take it out it's getting a trap door and I'm using a lift. If I don't have a lift by then I'll be putting one in. This laying on the ground and cursing stuff sucks. It rather stand and curse!
