Pro Topline aluminum cylinder heads

I have seen these in Summit. I have heard good things about the Pro cylinder heads (I know they have huge intake runners for racing). Apparantly Pro and Topline merged and are now Pro Topline. The flow numbers on these heads seem to be up there with the AFR's. According to the Summit catalog the 180cc Intake runner heads flow 270 CFM at .700" lift. Knock that down to a more realistic level of .400" should still put them flowing ~230-240 CFM (right? help with this). Thats about right on track with the AFR 190's. One benefit to these is the $400 lower price tag.
I have been looking at buying heads for my 383/SuperRam combo. 180cc would be a nice medium for torque and still apparantly flow well for ~6000 RPM power. What do you guys think? Anyone heard anything about these heads? I am looking at the 180cc/64 cc chamber aluminum head that would put my CR at approx 9.9. Let me know if my thinking is off track.

I am seriously thinking about it. With a price of $1003.38 for a set with springs handling .550" lift. The flow numbers appear to be higher than TFS 23 Deg heads with a smaller inatake runner. How about everyone sends me $5 and I will post my results

Well, unless anyone can give me a good reason not too, I will be the guinea pig and order these heads tonight. 3 weeks delivery though since they come from New Zealand (down under boys). I figure I will port match them to a TPIS Big Mouth Manifold and run it with a Super Ram on that 383. Port matching should probably jump them from 180cc to 185-190cc depending on how far in I blend it. I'll keep you guys posted.

I have a set of pro 220cc alum heads and have had the 200cc ones in my hands. My 220cc heads out of the box are only 211cc the only problem with the 220s is the intake port is 2.250 tall and that is so tall i needed to weld up my intake and move the ports up for the intake gaskets to seal.

I see no problem running the 200cc heads on even a stock 350. the ports are smaller than 200cc the good news is the port design is very good and the flow numbers are about right.

After getting the heads we just blended them with no metal removal and used a pair of old TRW 2.02 and 1.60 valves with the factory valve job to get them on the flow bench and the numbers are

Lift Int Ext
.200 140 132
.300 190 160
.400 233 191
.500 257 203
.600 263 210
.700 268 213

Now the heads have a good set of pro flow manley 2.05 int and 1.60 ex valves and the seats ground for them and are ready for the flow bench one more time. When i get the new numbers i will post them.

Well I got tired of tossing the idea around as to which heads to buy. After watching me sit at the computer and looking through magazines and making lots of phone calls, my wife got tired of it too. She said:
"Its just money. With as much as you are spending on this car, pay the extra money and get what you want!"
I will now be getting the AFR 190's. I don't know if its pregnant hormones or the fact that she just got a new car, but the AFR's are on the way (in three weeks).
