F-body motorsports

I ordered some stuff from them. To make a long story short, their service sucks, their phone people suck, their ability to communicate sucks.

I have nothing good to say about them. My issue with them is still pending. After three weeks I haven't even gotten an order status.

I called for an update today, and got "They're all out to lunch, your gonna have to wait till they git back."

That didn't go over well.

You'd think those guys would shape up, or at least members would stop buying from them, with all the negative crap posted here about them.

Though tempting, it would really only drop us down to their level. Feel free to read that link I posted, and how they called me on Memorial Day weekend to compain that I was giving them a bad name while I still didn't have the parts I ordered from them.

cayse's post is the very reason why f-body motorsports will never see any of my money,

however, that isn't a reason to proactively bombard them with emails asking them why they suck.

let them run their business how they see fit. if it causes them to go out of business, then so be it.

let's try and keep the discussion related to their business as a parts vendor. there's plenty of other rant threads about them.

I should start reading these boards more frequently before buying things. I know there is a general concent here, but I figure I can put my 2 cents in.

3 weeks ago was looking for streering box. Out of all local j/y's found one that had it and guy wanted $150 for it (ripoff). He says, "I have 25 thirdgens, and one high ratio gear box. You make the call if it is rare." Found one on fbodymotorsports for $50, but it says "call for availability," so I call them up and the guy goes "yeah we have one, 75 bucks." When I tell him it is 50 on the website, he just sits there quite and I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to explain myself why I was staring at 50 on my computer screen. That was kinda funny, but then he goes, website is wrong, but I'll sell it to you for 50 (website still has not been changed to this day).

After that the usual. It took them exactly 2 weeks to ship and 12 hours to charge my card. I called once a week and each time had to hold or keep asking for very busy Ray because no one else seems to know what is going on and why a part that is in stock takes 2 weeks to go out.

Here's my question: Any decent business does not like it when people say these kind of things about them, and it seems that this site (that they are a sponsor of) has been doing it contantly. Shouldn't they at least try to clean up or defend themselves, unless of course they see nothing wrong about putting their customers at the lowest priority level.

Roy actually told me that only 2% of his business comes from here..
he pretty much told me that "i don't need you".

I am in the auto body business, and i have learned that you have to kiss *** once in a while in order to get jobs. It's an unfortunate thing.
But, they are in the position where people are kissing their *** to get products.
I feel that if they continue with the " i don't need you" way of business, the customers are going to stop kissing ***, and kick ***..

Word of mouth is still one of the best ways to advertise, and it's not doing anything for them.
I have yet to see a positive comment about their business

I am not surprised it is only 2%, if he had a reputable buisness it would probably over 25%. I met him and he seemed like a very nice guy, but that does not make him a good buisnessman.

yeah, I've taken a few economics/business classes and the thing that tell you is that your customers are always your primary goal. They are the ones who give you money.

He must have done something right at some point to be so busy with people now, but after that treatment I know I will not shop their again nor ever be interested in the other 98% that he is doing. There are plenty of other stores and shops out

I deal with them from time to time since I'm close and can personally get what I need so I've never had to deal with the mail order aspect of the company.

Chris (Shearn) is right...they don't need the business from us, they're mostly 4th gen/LS1 parts now anyway and the business is doing fine, whether we shop there or not. Guys still buy there and they still make money. I have no problem with them, or Roy, since I always personally get what I need, but I feel it may be a different story if I would have had to have a part shipped to me.

Good luck guys...

There's a reason it's only 2%... cause they can't get their heads on straight and we keep telling everyone to stay away from them.

That attitude of "I don't need you" is exactly why I steer everyone clear of there. They don't care. Who in their right mind would say "I don't need any more money"? When you get more customers, you don't blow them off cause you're understaffed and don't want to manage a big operation, unless you don't care about the business. When you DO care about it, you hire more people, improve yourself, and expand. Naturally, when a customer gets upset at someone that doesn't care, it's a losing situation for the customer.

Anyway, plain and simple, don't risk the hassle when Hawk's is pretty much a mirror image of FbodyMotorsports in regards to parts, and they know the meaning of customer service.
