Hawks raising prices??

I was browsing Hawks today looking over my wish list again like I have been, so I have been getting to know some of the prices when I noticed a few things have been raised in price by at least 50 bucks. Anyone else notice this? Hmmmm...

sorry, I only frequent one sponsor here, and that is TDS.
I used TGR ONCE a long time ago...
but otherwise I get stuff alot cheaper on either Ebay, or local yards.

I think all prices in general are going up. As these cars get older, it becomes harder and harder to find decent parts for these cars. Even Summit rasied prices on some parts for our cars. Even 4th gen parts are getting harder to find as not nearly as many of them were built as thirdgens. Just a couple of years back, a full T56 swap could easily be found at a salvage yard. Nowadays, finding a stick 4th gen in a yard is almost as hard as finding a thirdgen in a yard. However, I only frequent one site on here and that is Spohn.

Yeah, I noticed that the prices are increasing as well...The thing that has me is that about a year ago I ordered a New ABS headliner for my hardtop T/A and the price was roughly 140-150 dollars and I just recently started looking at the headliners again for my T-top T/A and noticed that prices jumped about $20 or so... for me thats kinda a big deal because that added $20 dollars could be used for the shipping fee. I can understand original equipment starting to increase in price because its original, but increasing the prices on new parts is kinda tough to swallow given the fact that prices for EVERYTHING nowadays is increasing which sucks. Dealing with Hawks though is worth the extra little money because they are a great company that allows me to take care of my car, I just hope they put somethings on sale again eventually!

Car: projects.......
think about it...
- The cost for bulk materials are going up, thus the manufacturer's are gonna charge more for their products. The cost for shipping is going up, thus the manufacture cost is higher due to the price of shipping the materials to/from pthe factories. Hawks is being charged "X" more than before for an item, then also paying higher frieght/surcharges to get it themselves.
- I am a dsitributor for Parker Hannifin. We do hydrualic and industrial hose and fittings. - Brass division alone just hit us with an 8% cost increase, then hit us with an additional 21% before we even got the updated pricing or even switched over to the 8% increase. The increase is due to the cost of bulk brass, which two main indgredients(copper and nickel) have gone up over 70% in the last few months.....
The cost of EVERYTHING is going up......did you think car parts would be any different?

You hit the nail on the head . Prices are going up on everything. I work in the performance car parts market and everybody is going to feel the increase. The price of materials going up, energy to produce the parts, fuel to ship the parts and it has just started. If you are looking for wheels buy now, anything with aluminum or titanium such as heads or valve seats are going up. I think this is just the start of some big increases.

Things change and prices go up... this isn't really a "Vendor Review" post though.

Questions or comments, PM me please.
