1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
everything that I have purchased from 1a is junk ]
sure it looks good when you put it on your ride but after a few years its the worst quality products on my car and I sometimes shop at autozone
my black headliner is like a purple color
my door panels did not line up right and the plastic moldings on the top pop out of place.
the door handles brake if its cold out
all in all my car is pretty bad A$$ go to my website and see
eventually I will replace all the stuff I bought from 1a and get some good stuff
I know some of you out there are in some sort of trance because some old worn part that you replaced with a product from 1a looks great now but trust me from someone who loves his car and keeps it super nice

I'm sorry to hear you're dissatisfied with your purchases with us. I've never heard of any issues like this regarding the door panels or the handles. When did you purchase everything? I'd be happy to try and work with you to get some of these issues resolved.

Re: 1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
I have purchased from 1A without problems, actually solved some going through them.
Anyway I can see how you feel about your headliner, I need to buy some carpet for my car and the bottom carpet I'm sure sees more direct light than the top headliner, so if my carpet faded to purple in 1-3 I'd be absolutely pissed, since stock carpet (yes I know its not the same brand, type etc.) withstands up to 20+years of wear and tear but doesn't fade (at least mine hasn't). So I think your in the right with the headliner, shouldn't fade to purple, but fade to gray at least.
IDK I guess weather would change this but still, only 1-3 and I have to redo it again, it would annoy me for sure. I'm looking into a nice fiberglass headliner or none at all.
P.S. I would have called 1A before posting this. Even if it has been years since the purchase. Unless you did?

Re: 1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
Thats a big no crap. Im a sucker I went. Nothing to brag about to be sure.
My beater of a 1982 red berlanetta looks a whole lot better than what he brags about.
Look at my Fquick page and judge for yourself.
www.fquick.com/kd5icr
And I have a long way to go yet.
I agree you get a part on the cheap and it last for 3-5 years you win. And if you have to replace it after that long does it hurt? I wouldnt think so at all.
But hey thats just me.

Re: 1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
I love how he had to throw that out there that he thinks his car is totally bad ace.
Hey buddy, 1A Auto is the shiznit as far as I'm concerned. They have A+ customer service, and so far all the parts I have bought from them (which are aftermarket replacements) are right on par with what I'm looking for in new parts. High quality stuff right there.
I'm not going to fall for it, not gonna go to your site and see your clapped out Firebird. I just would like everyone that reads this thread to see how obvious it is that you're a joke, and that 1A Auto is a really good company to buy from.

i bought a window seal kit for my 86 S-10 and i like the end results. windows roll up and down tight and solid like new. it takes some adjsting and patients but worth the $100ish i spent.
the order guy i talked to was kool as well, car guy on the other end which works for me. if their T top seal kit is as good as their window kit im all in.

Re: 1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
Ive never dealt with 1A auto but on this thread I dont see one but two 1A reps trying to resolve your issues which in my books is pretty damn good customer service.
Have you even tried getting in touch with 1A ,Im sure they would have resolved any issues you may have had with them or their products

Re: 1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
The whole way you went about this was wrong OP. If you have an issue then you call the company. Maybe you call them several times. Calling them out on the forum is just not right, even if you have a bad product from them.
...and if you have to tell us your car is badass then it probably is not badass. Let the public tell you that it is badass.

Re: 1a auto sucks!!!! stay away
Maybe you should practice a little more tact when giving your opinion. Its not your complaint against the company that got you the uneeded attention it has gotten. Its how you said it. Also, before you shower pearls of logic and wisdom down on the masses of the unwashed, take a look and see what experiences others are having. Just at a glance as I clicked on this link I saw at least 2 threads giving 1A a thumbs up, and that was without scrolling down.
Perhaps is you chose to take a civil route, instead of the thumb-sucking 3yr old route, you might see that 1A will take a chance to help you out, and just maybe your situation is isolated.
Think about it.

Also, isnt there a rule here if you have a bad experience that simply posting what happened is all that is needed? Most of the time, bad mouthing isnt tolerated.
