aftermarket fuel tank

i want to know if there is a vendor that sells fuel cells, tanks that fit in the original location of the stock tank. i want it to have the features of a fuel cell like dual fuel lines at the bottom of the tank, a fuel level sender, roll over valve and a vent line. i know many brands sell fuel cells that meet this but they have to be mounted in your trunk by the hatchback and i don't want fumes in the interior. i want to fill it by the location at the rear fender. thanks for your support.

This is the only one that I know of http://www.fuelsafe.com/store/sa114.html. It's not cheap though.

Re: aftermarket fuel tank

Wow, that would be awsome to have. How do they fit 24 gallons in there though and call it a stock fitment? Wouldn't it stick in at least one direction pretty bad?

Re: aftermarket fuel tank

It may be the cheapest to remove your tank and take it in to have some fittings welded into it where you tell them. I had to do it on my Monte, and it cost roughly $65, though that was about 6 years ago.

Re: aftermarket fuel tank

buy a universal sump from jegs or summit's house brand and take it to a radiator repair shop and they can weld it on. Then you'll have all the stock tank functions and allow you to run bigger fuel lines.

According to who or what? I've got eastily $4k more in my car than it's book value. But it's "worth" it to me.

Re: aftermarket fuel tank

Bringing back from the dead. Did anyone ever use or have experience with one of these? The range this would give the car would be worth it (to me) IF it really fits without having to chop up the car!
