Performance tuning in Arizona?

Have a 1989 Iroc-Z looking to turn it into a 383 stroker with some other upgrades. I'm having difficulty finding shops that can do this kind of stuff.

Before the place to go was AZ TPI but they closed down. I've heard good things about AS&M though.

AZ tpi did close down but the guys that did the tuning work are still around and I think are going to open something new. See link http://www.aztpi.com/home.php?xid=e0...b7cc1c670cfcd1

Re: Performance tuning in Arizona?

After what I found on the chip I pulled from the car today, I can't really recommend the tuner from AZTPI any more. He dialed in the tune on my ACCEL DFI car nearly perfect (according to Brian Herter from PCMforless). But the chip in my GTA had the injector constant wrong, the VATS turned off, the EGR diag code turned off, and a few other settings that aren't right. Some of these aren't used at WOT on a dyno which is the tune he did, but the setting the injector size wrong has had it running pig rich since they did it.

If you have the time and ability to do it, Kevin91Z on this board does tuning for the SoCal 3rd gens. You could always approach him about the tune.

Or try PCMforless, the chip may need multiple revisions and take a few weeks to get it finalized but they have the experience to do it.

Talk to Jan @ Xtreme Motorsports. He has been doing GN's, TPI motors and the new stuff for years. It will be spot on if he does it. Tell him Brit sent you.
