Summit Bad then Good Experience

Hey this happen about a month ago, My wife was putting in a order for me at summit. Then she told me that the customer service/ sales guy was a real D-bag. Which really suprise me due to the fact that I've been dealing with them since the 90's and never had a bad experience. Anyway what was causing the issue was their price match policy(one of the items). We were ordering about 300 dollars worth of stuff, and from another site that has the same stuff(alittle cheaper and would have free shipping). This dude was giving her a hard time, first with the part #s. She gave him the GM performance part # (which if you go to their site, put it in, it brings up the item) He started saying this isn't a right # cause it didn't have NAL at the end (he was really rude about it). Then he said they don't charge shipping they just have a handle fee, so their not going to wave it. (now we have just order over 2 grand of parts in the last year from them) and then said they'll beat the price by taking off a penny and that's it, take it or leave it! (now the savings was suppose to be about 13 dollars not a penny) So she said no thank you hung up.

Anyway we both work on the phones for a living so when knew this wasn't right. Just the handling of the call alone. So we went back figure out that the one item if we order it alone it would save us a dollar.(now it was a matter of princple) So we called back got another rep that was awesome and let her know(what had happend and why were going to firm on this dollar deal) then we asked, how do you want to do this? Just one order and take the dollar off or 2. She said she could it all in one order no problem. (she was great, the way it should of happen the first time)

Then we call back got a manager, let him know how the second call went and restored faith in their company and let him know about the second call. He was pretty much floored that the rep treated my wife that way, and promise he would listen to the first call and take appropriate action if needed. He apologize and we were happy with that.

Couple of days later we got our order and they put in a cool summit hat, (the manager must have added it to our order free of charge!) then we were suprise we got a reciept that showed we were credited back the handle fee and to top that off they also put in a five hour enegry drink with the stickers they sent us lol. Me and the wife were very surprise and happy with the out come. Summit really came thru and we just order some stuff the other day with no issues. Just wanted to pass my bad then really good experience with summit along to you guys.

I have been ordering from Summit for many years! Always recieved good service and quick shipping. I also have had the occasional sales person that seemed a little crotchitty! Good overall experience though.

yeah def took me by surprise, dude was prob having a bad day. When you work on the phones if your having a day like that, go home and regroup. don't take it out on the customer cause you could get fired.
