Ramjet Project

I'm trying to get the remaining parts I need to complete my RamJet Project, but I'm not sure of a couple of part numbers.

1. I need the bracket that attaches the throttle cable bracket to the intake. I have the square-holed bracket that the cable snaps into.

I think it's between: 12489586 BRACKET,TRANSMISSION & THROTTLE CABLE (I think it might be this one.)

Or: 12489587 BRACKET, CABLE BRACKET MOUNTING

2. I need the nipple that screws into the intake that the FPR hose connects to.

EDIT-> The nipple is #14082470

Also:

I've been cleaning up the inside of the intake, removing casting flash and such, and also radiusing the TB hole in the intake. I put an intake gasket on it to check how close the ports matched the gasket, and they are MUCH smaller than the gasket.

I've got an intake mounted on my heads at the moment, so I can't make a comparison to the ports in the head, but I don't think there is even enough wall thickness to open it up to the intake gasket. Has anyone dealt with this before?

I've got a parts list, but it's sketchy on the descriptions. I tried downloading what's posted, but it's not working for some reason.

Here's what I'm talking about regarding the port size vs. gasket size.

Im building a vortec headed 350 with a ramjet intake as well. your post promped me to check mine. You are using a factory style vortec intake gasket which IIRC is quite a bit larger than the ports on the intake or the heads. The only intake gaskets I have here are Felpro 1255 (made for vortec heads) and the Felpros are cut actually pretty close to the size of the inlet on the heads. when I place them on the intake it looks like there is a decent amount of metal on the port roof that could be ground out to make the intake line up better with the cyl head port. Ill be trial fitting the intake to check the port alignment before I fire up the die grinder though. if it was on the port floor I wouldnt worry about it as much but there is power to be had in raising the roof to match it with the head. hopefully in a month or so this thing will be on the dyno and Ill have some hard numbers. briefly its a 350 with forged flat tops, zero decked , ported vortec headfs with 2.02/ 1.60 valves and a Comp XFI 268 cam and a FAST ecu to control it. keep posting on your progress too.

Thanks for the info about the gaskets. I'm swapping in a Ramjet cam too, and I decided that I'll do the cam swap first, and then the intake swap. This will give me a chance to check the actual port size of the heads.

My heads are ported with race flow valves, teflon seals and good springs and retainers. I just don't remember where the ports ended up.

Please do keep us posted on your progress and the dyno results.

I did radius the manifold inlet.

Here's what it looks like with the Fel Pro 1255 gasket. Much better I think.

. . . and here's what the restrictive Holley MPFI port looks like. It measures 1.625" tall at the most where the injector bung protrudes. That's at the edges, it's less in the center.
