this bolts to the last 2 bolt holes in the intake on the passanger side by the distributor. the coil slides between the thin sandwich and 2 long small screws and bolts hold in place. i found the stock style bracket always works best.

This will not work on the HSR as there is a huge "hump" in between the last two holes...

Here is what I did...


I used that bracket TTmonte showed you which you should have if you swapped from TPI, I mounted the coil sideways on it and used the nut/bolt from that support brace, but you need to use a lock washer other wise it will loosen up. If you have any questions about it pm me.

yeah. i never thought of that. i had my set up in a mazda RX7 so i mounted mine on the firewall also.

So which bracket are you referring to IrocZ??? You mentioned that I should have it already. I am swapping from the original 1986 TPI.

i flipped my stock bracket from my coil and mounted it right on my valve cover. like it says not my favorit but works quite well.

I ended up mounting on the sheet metal over the firewall, as a lot of other guys have, under one of the bracket bolts on the passenger side.
