HSR - First start today: Success.
Hey Guys,
Got the car running today. HSR, cam, headers, exhaust, chip, etc, etc.
Started on thh first crank. Couple of points that might help others:
Couple of little things:
Found a small crack on the top of my radiator (plastic tank part). Leaking a bit...need to take care of that.
A couple of the header bolts would not line up...I still need to figure that out. There are DEFINITELY some exhaust leaks on my headers.
I have a squeaky belt...seems like the power steering belt. Not sure yet...need to investigate next weekend.
Looking forward to continuing to work on this project...BUT...the MAJOR SURGERY is done. Woo hoo!
NOW for the tuning and tweaking, clean-up of the engine compartment, etc.

- Set fuel pressure to 45 PSI.
- Base timing at 8' BTDC.
- I had a custom chip burned by Ed Wright at "FastChip." Deleted the EGR for me, cold start injector, etc.

Sounds like a good deal my man. I'm glad it's going good for you too. I'm getting ramped up about swapping over to HSR here this Spring. I've got my HSR sitting my bedroom right now, lol. Looking at it, drooling at it..... Just kidding.
I'm sure you've noticed a huge difference in power and making power up high and all over too.
