Carbon Fiber Superram Lid
Does anyone know if someone sells a carbon fiber lid for the superram? I thought I saw a member here have one, but I don't recall if he made it or bought it from someone.
Thanks

nobody that I know of.
I made a fiberglass one YEARS ago. Plenum and lid. Have to do some digging to see if I still have pic's layin around.
Tommy you have the skills you could easily make one yourself.

Re: Carbon Fiber Superram Lid
Carbon fiber prepeg sheet MIGHT work. Not as good as making a mold and doing a hand lay up and vacuum bagging it.. Its all a moot point because without an autoclave its still gonna be weaker and heavier then doing it "The right way" Still be lighter then a stock piece.
The easiest way would be to delam the top sheet from the skeleton and as mentions above do a sheet of cf bonded to the stock skeleton frame. Use something like 3m panel bond. It would look like CF and still be sturdy. Hell you dont want to loose to much weight from over the rear tires anyways.
If I recall correct that picture of Steve Petrof custom intake is a single plane style lower or custom sheetmetal one with a custom made plenum. Id have to do some digging but I have all the pic's of it somewhere from years ago.
Actually heres a link to his Fquick page. I knew I had it saved.
