91-92 Z28 high rise spoiler
I think this was asked before, but I couldn't find it. Well I found the 91-92 high rise spoiler and I could get it for cheap, but what has to be done to install it on our cars?

It wouldn't be too hard to install the new spoiler, but your main concern is going to be the holes left in the Q-panels and deck lid when you remove the three piece spoiler. The hi-rise 91-92 doesn't use any of the holes that your current spoiler uses, so they'll be left exposed for the whole world to see.

Just please make sure you remove the old spoiler. I hate when people add spoilers to Camaros and leave the old one on there

Eeekkk!
Are you sitting down? Good. There is an 86' Z28 around my area that has the original 3 piece on it, and (gasp) TWO firebird base spoilers stacked on each other! GAG! 3 spoilers....

On another note, where did you come up with the late Z28 wing? Also, it is the plastic one that everyone bashes as a cheap knock off? I have a perfect GTA spoiler that I am probably going to use on my car, I really like those and think that it will follow the lines of the car a little better, but either need to find a hatch that originally had one, or find some way of getting the clips onto the window liner. Anyways, to bring a point to this rambling, if that does not pan out, where is a good place to grab one?

Yep, the 91/92 wing looks good, just from some angles on a camaro I am on the fence with it. I actually think it looks better on the birds, due to the taillight shape on the camaro; the angles don't match up on the Z28. (forward edge of the spoiler vs. the wrap around angle of the taillights) It still looks good on either car, and if the GTA wing does not work out I will go with the 91/92 Z28 wing. I guess I am a little odd with going with the GTA wing on a Z28!
Glad to see the door GFX pieces worked out on the car! Where did you end up getting the spoiler?
Has anyone dealt with www.spoiler2000.com at all? I hear that one is made of plastic? If anyone knows, how is the fit and finish of it?? Thanks!

I think you asked where I saw the high rise spoiler???? Well someone posted a new auction site on one of the boards and I checked it out and it was there for auction. I'm not sure if I'll bid though cuz it's a new auction site and none of the seller's have a seller rating so I'm not sure how trustworthy they are. If you're interested, the new auction site is http://www.midnitemotors.com it's all about auto parts. You can go ahead and bid, but I'm going to wait until some of the seller's get a rating. The spoiler is under car accessories, I believe, and then under exterior accessories.

I got the spoiler locally from some friends of mine. They bought it from Jegs a few months back. I think it was $174 shipped. Came with all the mounting hardware.

I love my 92 spoiler EXCEPT from the side.... eeew when I stand about 20 feet back from the side my car looks totally hurtbag with the spoiler... looks like it's tacked-on or something it just doesn't work at all.
but from rear, front, angle etc. looks sweet i'm keeping mine for sure.

I always thought the high rise was the worst looking of all the spoilers offered. I would take any of the other offerings from GM before that one. With the exception of the spoiler they put on those first year RS. That was kinda weird looking.
