Fixing rock/paint chips

I just picked up a 92 Firebird last week. I love the car, it just has a mess of rock chips on the hood and door. How do I go about cleaning out any oxidization and touching it up so you can't tell? Or should I just take it to a shop? (cost estimates?)

No real dents, just chips.

I think theres a tech article on touch-ups. Try a search too. I've explained what I did to my scrape a few times. The process will work with chips as well. Good luck
EDIT: I came across one helpful post
