help me decide.....
i've seen alot of thirdgens lately with clear markers.......some cars look good with them while others don't.
should i do it, i haven't seen a red car with them yet so i'm unsure on how it would look.

If your front turn signals are clear, then I would try the clear side markers, if not, then the amber. Clear signals have and still are used in European countries and have been for more than 50 years. I like clear because it looks brighter.

I'm working on the same thing man. what I'm going to do is clear front ones (to match the headlights) and the red side markers to match the back markers. we'll see what it looks like :-)

I say Clear, but I have always hated the amber, always, always hated. I wish I could have gotten red lens for the front, but since they are illegal... For a while I had layered some deep red lens tape over the amber lens and you could not tell, but I have a red red, not a candy red.
I went with clear and red bulbs. I finished the look by hand making clear frt signals. They have red bulbs as well. I even took apart my rear lens to spray the back side to do away with the amber in them as well. Still has a slight cast when the sun shines directly on them, but it is still way less amber. I wanted to spray the outside to eliminate that completely, but the paint left a texture that was to obvious to get away with at shows (I tried on a broken test lens). Maybe later I will have the painter do it and then shoot them clear and buff them smooth.
Ok here is a side shot of my car since it is red and Kandied said he had not seen them on a red car.

The clear light thing is a trend. I think it will go away eventually and you would regret changing them. Your car looks great as-is and gets plenty of attention. Go with the wheel change as you've mentioned and it will be even better.
