Well, the Camaro is leaving my possession this Sunday

I ended up selling my Camaro to my engine builder. He wants to buy the car and build a drag car out of it or part it out (depends on if he races next season) He is giving me a little over $1000 and he is building another 425-450 HP engine which I am selling to my friend, Black85transam.

Yeah, I will miss her, but as soon as she's gone, my 72 is getting bodywork done and painted. That leaves me some money there for getting the Monster engine built (455)

Its my understanding that he is getting more than $1000 for the car...

$1000 + Sale of the motor = More than $1000 ?

Originally, I was selling the engine to Black85transam, but the guy who helped me build the engine and pretty much the car wants to buy the whole car from me. THen he is building a new engine for me, which will be sold to black85transam. So I am pretty much getting about $3000 for the car. Not bad, losing about $500-1000, but I doubt the car is worth much more.

Yeah I did the same thing, sold my camaro and started on my 71 Monte Carlo. Absolutely no regrets here. Good luck with the Pontiac.

IMO you guys are pretty crazy to sell nice Third Gens to work on those cars. I think I'd just keep both, 1 as the main car and 1 as a project.

That seems like a steal to me. Maybe F-bodies are overpriced here. Yeah I think they are

I don't ever plan on selling my current car since it is my first car and worth about $800. I would have just kept the IROC until the 72 was finished, unless you had a third car.

I don't think they are crazy. They are selling them so they can work on their dream cars. Good luck man!

Unless you are extremly attatched to your thirdgen, you eventually have to let it go for some reason or another.

Thanks guys, I will still hang around on here and still help people out or put my 2 cents in.

RamAirZ-Yeah, I'll find you on AOL, just been busy with school lately.

My first car was the 72. Coolest car at school! The third car is the 68 GTO.
