$8000 is not enough!
Here in the UK, a really smart '89 coupe (like mine) will fetch $5-6k, and some ******** with a soft top will ask $9k in the summer for an '88 in average condition. That car is easily worth $12k in the UK...Just wish I had the dough.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Think it runs?
Seriously..... it's at $10,200 right now with reserve not yet met!!!
Think they'll trade me for my family van? Afterall, the description says they're selling it due to "an addition to the family".

Not to brag, but the car is advertised as having everything except the leather. It lloks to me that it's missing alot. Where's the deluxe interior, the 350 and the Bose system. I know that the 5 speed is desirable, but the value still lies in the 350 as an option. This car will probably get upwards of $14k. I think I need to watch this auction!

man thats a beauty. sad thing is some spoiled kid will prolly get it and trash it. I've see that happen 4 times around where I live. 99' Trans Am ramair 67' mustang (gt or whatever they did) and 90 IROC-Z and then a new vette. I would love to have that though. I bet it'll go for about $40,000. anybody wanna bet? lets see who guesses the closest

Amazing car. I will have a no-mile IROC as soon as I have a climate controlled garage to store it in. Say what you want about not driving your car, but they are only original once, and as long as I've got the 85 to drive, I can't think of a better thing than to have a garage queen. I wouldn't have a garage queen as my only nice car, but having that in addition to a driver is just fine with me.

Why own a car and dont use it?? Doesnt make any since to me. My baby loves hard driving as well as cruising but you cant beat the feeling when you beat up these rice cars and "performance Volvos" so i wouldnt be able to just have a nice V8 standing in my garage.
But thats just me.

I derive a great deal of pleasure from looking at my car. I can't think of a better feeling than having a 100% perfect IROC sitting in the garage to go look at any time I want to. I can't take the car to the grave, but I can sure take the satisfaction from having had the pleasure of seeing such a fine sight every day of my life.
There is no shortage of "drivers" available at a hell of a reasonable price out there. If nobody kept low mile originals, nobody would have the pleasure of seeing an unrestored original. I almost wet my pants when I saw a 2,000 mile 89 1LE IROC at Carlisle a couple years ago. Looking over that car was an unbelievable thrill for me. I find it disappointing that more people don't get that same type of thrill.
