Haziness in Window Tint

Is it normal to have haziness in your tint immediately after installation? I had my windows tinted like 8 hours ago and it's hazy in some spots, and clear in others. I'm just hoping that the sun will cause the tint to "set" so to speak. Anyways, I'd really appreciate any info y'all may have. Thanks.

Haziness is normal. When I had my tint done, the guy told me they'd be hazy for a day or so, but that it would clear up perfectly. Also, I was advised to leave the windows rolled up (not move) them for a day... so as not to cause any troubles.

You're absolutely right. The haze is just the mouisture left over from the install. Depending on where you live it could last for a few days. Yeah, definately don;t open the windows or anything like that. That will screw your stuff up bad. Another hint, I wouldn't use windex or any cleaner for at least 3-4 weeks. Not really necessary, but better safe than sorry.

Also, don't use any window cleaning products that contain any amonia, for that will ruin the film. Use any product that is made for tinted windows. Stoner's is the best I found, it doesn't streak and cleans very well without harming the tint.

Not only does amonia harm the tint and break it down faster, it turns it that ugly shade of purple a lot faster than sun fading does...

Hey, I really appreciate this guys. This hazy crap really had me worried. They really didn't tell me about the "dos and don'ts" of window tint. Again, thanks for all the info amigos.

I tint windows yes it will be hazy dont roll them down for 3 days i usually just wash mine with a soft sponge with water then wipe em with a towel. it needs to be in the sun as much as possible for about 30 days to really fully cure and dry all the bubbles out.

Now we just need to see some pics of the before tint and after tint huh.
