Thirdgen Garage Pics....Ooooo yeah!!!

A year and a month ago I moved my shop from a 4 x 8 foot storage building to a 20 x 30 foot garage. It looked kind of empty.
And now, no wonder I am so damn broke all of the time.

Not all thirdgens, but this is where my car is at the moment. My new project GTA is outside for now, but as soon as I finish stripping my firebird, the GTA will be inside, and the firebird outside. I wish it was still this empty inside, but there are now 2 more old mustangs in there, another 65 and a 66. My firebird is now where the black 65 is, and its a pain in the butt to work on the passenger side, since its right up against the wall. When we move the GTA in, we're gonna re arrange cars and make more room.

Hehe, this is what the 'bird looks like now, kinda. The front wheels, rotors and struts are gone, as well as the dash, seats and steering column.

My dad's garage, dont have one of my own ...... yet. 'Till my wife and I graduate and get jobs, this works great! Heated/insulated, though it doesnt have the best lighting.

although it still needs a ton of work, I bought a house last year with a 38 x 41 ft garage. It only has one small door, so because of how i'd have to pull cars in and out, i can only really do like 6 or 7 cars in there, but it would fit 8 if i had better doors (which i will eventually).

Here was mine:
The good news, the garage has been replaced with a four car garage, the bad news, the blue Z28 has been sold.

I just got my first house recently and it is gonna be SO nice having an oversized two car garage to work in! I told my wife "ITS MINE". heheheeh..
I moved from an apt that only had a 1 car garage and that was near impossible to work in. I guess I was used to the oversized 3 car garage that I grew up with in my parents house.

I hate you all as well...
flrtn1 thats an awsome looking garage, ES87 too!
SpeedJunkie - how much did that think set you back, and do you have any exterior pics? I've been wanting to invest in something like that for my gravel pit to keep the elements off my baby til I graduate and can buy a real house.

I have the same "garage" as SpeedJunkie. I got mine from Costco for $200. It hasn't help up too well with the wind and winter. One of sides are failing off, i keep repairing it but it breaks again. I'm painting my car in there, it's not the best paint booth but it'll work.

Yeah I got mine for about $180. Its held up pretty well and I reinforced the roof to make sure a foot of snow wouldnt come through during the winter. There are many companies that make them and some are crap but some are pretty well made. Just be sure to grab some condiut and reniforce any part you like. I actually gonna start biulding a bench in the back there next to the shelveing unit.

The wheels were on there only as temps while the drag radials were being put on my wheels. We'd just got done cleaning in this pic, so most of the tools weren't back in place yet...but you get the general idea.

Cool, you need to get that out and get some updated E/T's! When you do, let me know. I am 75% finished with my 91 which I hope to pull into the mid to low 10's with.
I said that about your wife because I have already been divorced because of my overwhelming love for cars, so just by looking at that garage I just assumed the wife gets sick of it all, like all the women in my life.
Anyway, nice all around buddy!

Heres my shop, 21 x 26. That's the project TargaZ28 sitting up on jackstands. The door in the background leads into the polishing shop, 21 x 10. Later this summer i'm going to finish painting both shops and putting in the celling insulation.
