Sexy white camaro in car craft
Just got the latest car craft and in the readers section is a sexy little white 87 Z. Any one on here own it? I'm still tryign to get some of our rides in car craft now that the birds gone they'll probaly put up a pic of it. lol. It has a 4" cowl hood on it form harwood but no pins. I could have sworn harwood only had the 4" in pin on not bolt on. But yea take a look at it looks like a super clean thirdgen.

It's a really nice camaro, but with all that work done to it, I think he couldve fixed that sagging GFX before submitting a picture to a magazine like car craft. As picky as they are about cars, I'm suprised they printed that thing with the GFX in that shape. Sounds funny, but he brags about how that much stress isnt commonly put into building a thirdgen, and when I first saw the pic I thought to myself "great, another thirdgen for the stereotype"

It is owned by a guy on here. He has his own website, www.87camaro.com . I found this site months ago and had forgot agout it until I saw his car in Car Craft. His site has a good number of videos, pictures, and info on the mods he has done.

ehh..A couple things doesn't look right, the cowl is a little too large and the front spoiler is a tad loose.Being put in a magazine you'd think that he would have tightened up that spoiler.

We can point out the problems but the fact is he's in the mag and i've sent in like 6 pics of each of our cars and nothing. Bastards lol. I think the hood looks out of place weithout a bigger spoiler. The opposite is what i have is that my spoiler is huge and the hood is stock so it looks funky. He gets a 5" er on the back it would look super sick.

Yep thats my car. You have no idea how supprised I was to find it was in.
The picture was taken back in Aug '02 right after I put on the snypers and tires and was still working on it. I sent two other newer pictures besides that, but they posted the older one. I sent in the 3 pictures back in nov '03 along with a formal letter with mods and some other stuff about the car. I had no idea that they were even going to put my car in and it was totally by supprise.
The hoods the 4" Harwood from Jegs. I got it in hopes of putting a s/c on the 383, but ask anyone who knows anything about pa motor laws, one year the hoods legal, the next year its not...err I wont go into too much detail there. But its bolt on model and like john5.7 87Iroc says, it doesnt fit very well and took alot of time to get it as fitting as possible.

my car was shot a several times by a few of them and won't be printed for several more months between each one. talk about lag time.
helped several others get shot for pontiac enthusiast as well which won't be on the shelf for another year. just goes to show how far they are behind on some of the actual reader features. my car is completely different now then it will be when it hits newstands....but what can you do?
the only one that was direct was my shoot for worldwidecamaro association which was printed 1 month later in camaro world.

Yea kandied my buddy has a 89 rs thats doign 11.2's and he had his shot for super chevy back in april, it won't be published until the october issue, so look for the red rs vert thats a buddy of mine out here. In the mean time his motor went and has been changed over and some other stuff. He said its consistensy of sending new pics and writeups to the mags that will get it atleast in the readers rides. Liek i said i think my biggest fear is they will publish a pic of my firebird. I never even sent any pics after i painted it and all so they have the bones stock pics of it there. Now we need to work on gettig my dads 81 in there u dont see to many nice clean second gens in cc or hot rod, It seems the mags tend to print the super rare or totally unique cars first.
