Car Show Pics

Went to another local car show this weekend. Had a blast. My class consisted of 3rd & 4th gens. There were 8 4th gens and 5 thirdgens. My friend (red 91 Z) got 3rd so that was cool. The best part was cruising home with a pack of 4 3rd gens Got some good video haha. Anyways here are some pics, wish I had a better camera.

Polished plenum, runners, distributor plate and tb plate

Friends car that won 3rd

SOM 91 Z with an LS1/4th gen interior and more

Lots of sanding lol. I started with 180 then 220, 320, and 400. I used 180 with a porter cable on the plenum to get all the casting marks and pits out. It took a while but it was worth it in the long run. I buffed it out with the tripoli compound using a spiral sewn wheel from eastwood

the fouth gen dash, seat, and center console swap look good in that car, but it doesn't look right with third gen door panels.. or those wheels in my opinion.

is that a carpet/pad on your dash pad.. did you make it yourself?? I've been looking for one.. I think it would go along way to keep the dash pad from cracking and fading.

but your plenum and runners look jaw dropping.. great match with those valve covers.. very very nice!! I've got an aftermarket induction sitting on my shop bench at the moment.. bigmouth intake, slp runner, and a heavily ported plenum that I need to get polished up and looking as good as yours.. I've also got the same red hotchkis strut tower bar. I can't wait, its like a free preview for what mine should look like! Your entire car looks very clean.. is it an '83?? Hell I would never have guessed...

Yeah that is the car my friend bought. It's a really sweet ride.

Yeah I would rather have the hood down and the windows up because it makes the car look better. He has some fat tires on the rear because he got them for $20 and needed something to throw on there. They make good burnout tires though

Yeah its a carpet on my dash pad. Its called a dashmat and you can usually order them from any auto part store or online. The white Z is a 91 and is my dads. I polished everything to get some practice. It came out nice and made the engine bay look so much nicer. The black Z is mine which is an 83
