i did a search on this and ive noticed youve replied in just about every thread that deals with body colored t-tops. i guess u also see how ugly the t-tops look when they are on the car

i dont much like the idea of painted ttops, i like looking up and seeing clouds and things, but i do like the matching trim of the hatch glass, mine is all rusty and oxidized. i may do this soon.

the t tops look good tinted as they are. they go nice with tinted windows too. i wouldnt change em, but that one guy did a really good job. the trim looks good painted too. my car is gray, so probably not worth it.

Redraif's side windows are I believe tinted to match her paint. Perhaps you can simply tint your t-tops instead of painting them?
You could try doing that to your t-tops I bet... I'd feel a lot better about tinting my t-tops than painting them, but I dont have them. Just a suggestion, though...

Believe it or not, if you tint the tops, after a while the tint will start hanging and eventually just fall off. It's been done and that's exactly what happens.

I've had my 92 RS for 9 years and tinted the t-tops within the first year with 5% limo tint. Have had zero problems other than scratches on the tint film from me being careless when putting them in the back.
They are, but added the tint film to keep out some more of the sun when I want to run A/C. Yeah, I know I'm in the Pacific Northwest and not alot of use for A/C, but it does the trick.

You got really lucky then. I know of a few people off the top of my head from my area who tried tinting the t-tops and after about a year or two it started bubbling and falling off.

Maybe I did, maybe the film being installed at a tint shop helps too. Not trying to be rude or anything, but were they home tint jobs on those tops? I see many cars around with do-it-yourself tint jobs and the results are as you describe - bubbling and falling off. Since I had it done with the rest of the car, I don't think it cost me all that much extra.
