I have to agree with that being one of the ugliest Camaros I've ever seen, along with the terrible Testarossa body kit.

Phantom,
Im not sure which kit that is - but it *might* be one of the kits from ASCD - the "Z28 Turbo Body kit". It is made for the 82-84s though, and according to their website require some tinkering to work with other models. It is only $1094 - which I find incredible unless the quality is horrendous..

Here is the link to their thirdgen stuff:
http://www.americansportscar.com/prodpage/3rdCamar.htm

And here is a pic of that kit on an 82-84.
What I noticed though is that this kit has Corvette-like gills on the front fender, while the red one doesnt....

it looks nice, but I think that that would make the "ricers" think we are trying to copy them.. It also looks too much like a supra.. I'll stick with my good ol' 92 stock look

The K1 kit is pretty awesome. You could get a cheap Berlinetta or soemthing and build that around it. Then replace the engine with a badass 350 so you can walk the walk and you'd be set. Throw some turbos on there for an authentic sound and you'd be set!

If I had lots of money to burn (as I will one day ), I would be calling them on Monday morning!

Did any of you read the English on these pages?! They mangle it, but I guess it's alright for Slovakians!

That car will never has any good driveabilities.

The rear hydraulic system is a kind of "state of art".

Yes, the interior is kinda nasty. But you can get it in all leather if you want. That wouldn't look bad, especially if it was all black.

You can have just about any interior you want. I'd go with a 91-92 maybe because I'm biased but I like the look the best. I would then get the seats and probably leave the rest of the interior stock.
For all of you that think the kit is too extream: One reason I bought my car was the fact that it's so flexible. It can be an exotic, daily driver, drag queen, auto cross king, etc. The car is a bit on the old square side of things and the rounded look isn't all that bad of an update. In my book it looks a lot better than the newer camaro's/door wedges.

My take on the Yellow K-1 Kit....been to the website...I LOVE the styling....gorgeous car, not too insane, but distinct...I like the whole thing...the rims, the side, the back, the taillights, spoiler, the interior(if it wasnt red)....one thing that i do NOT like on it....the front end. The front end needs to hint more towards the f-body. That front end looks too much like a modded new eclipse or accord. I just dont like that front end. The hood could also use some vents or something...not a ram air hood or anything, but just some vents...besides that, that car is amazing. I wouldnt change anything else. Dunno about yellow tho..pretty hot....thats my 2 cents...

I think the Yellow one is very sharp and I love it but I agree that I wouldn't do that to my T/A. If I could buy a POS 3rdgen then I would. It looks like a 2000+ Eclipse with a body kit due to the headlights. Been to the sight and the Interior leaves alot to be desired.

I agree about the interior.... if it was in black leather... That would look killer!

That yellow one is pretty nice. But for the amount of money it costs...I don't know if it's really worth it. Anyway, you'll just lose props once people find out what it really is.

JefJm,

Motion has the "wide body kit" for firebirds, but I can only scan crappy pictures, because they don't have a web site and their catalog (which is great) is made up of photocopied photographs, hence my crappy images. I'll post one of the firebird ASAP. Their contact info is way up above under the three camaro pictures.

I think this looks good. Not overkill or *****. It looks like it fits well with the original design of the car. Kindof makes you want a firebird, huh?

Car: too many ...
i think that K1 kit is awesome. I went to the website and read through it and i'm very impressed. Yeah it costs alot ($5,600) for the exterior kit but if you think about what you're getting its actually not that bad of a price (you get a completely new looking car!!). the styling is great .. kinda like they took alot of exotic japanese and european supercars and mixed it all together .. i see a little Nissan 300zx, some Ferrari 360 Modena, some NSX, even some Lotus styling in there. The front clip looks like its begging for an intercooler!!!! The interior kits looks good too I think. I mean, the only choices we have looks like the stock blocky interior, a 4th gen interior swap from hell, or this K1 kit that is designed for 3rd gen. It looks like the interior can be painted any color you want .. so i dunno why people are mad thats its red.

I would definately buy this entire kit for my 92 Project car if I had unlimited funds and another car as a daily driver ... but unfortunately the state I live in (Hawaii) has some pretty strict reconstruction / modification laws. With this Kit I would expect to get pulled over alot (even if its not dropped and loud as hell) so its kind of out of the question for me right now. The interior on the other hand is really nice and I plan to be dropping $800 for the interior kit for my 92.
