remedy that works for fogged park lights
Everybody's park lights get really milky looking with age. I hate the look of a spotless car with fogged up lights. 50 plus for a new set as well. This trick which I saw on tv for headlights that yellow worked wonders for my parklights.
What is it you may ask, toothpaste. I actually used toothpaste for rubbing compound on model cars. Yep do a corner at a time with a dry rag. Then just swipe it off with a wet rag to get the residue. It acts as really fine wet/dry sandpaper. I would post pics but no camera. It's quick and easy just as waxing a car. I assume you could carefully take off the lense from the housing and to the backside too. Before reassembly dip them in future floor cleaner which acts as a clear coat that stands up and doesn't yellow. Future washes will be much nicer. Everybody's got toothpaste, give it a try I'm sure you'll say ah hell yeah.

Re: remedy that works for fogged park lights
to fix the fog all you have to do is notch the front bumper. if you look at the bottom side of the lights there is a hole to drain water, well on the factory bumper where the light sits that hole is pretty much covered up. just notch that out so that the water can drain through the hole and you'll be all set i did it on my iroc.

If you want to clean the lens itself, use some Flitz. It works GREAT.........

Re: remedy that works for fogged park lights
I think IMHO you would like the new ones 100% better I spent $60 on a new set for mine looks alot better. But the one on the drivers sied still fogs up some even though I have cut the drain wholes for then and I have no ideal how to fix it.I have read on here where ppl have cut the face off and just put a pice of plexy glass on there.(I think there was a pic with it)

Re: remedy that works for fogged park lights
My dad just suggested using Power Steering fluid. My mom's Concorde's headlights were really milky, and aparently the Power Steering fluid cleared it right up. No clue on how long that fix will last though

Re: remedy that works for fogged park lights
I wetsanded with 1500 and buffed the chit out of them with eagle one polish. Figured if i messed them up id just buy them new 50 bucks. Well it worked. They are almost as clear as if you bought them new.

Re: remedy that works for fogged park lights
I used medium buffing compond, and a buffer wheel, could be maybe done with a dremel properly equipped. I then used plastic polish. I have used tooth paste for a long time on CD's, and mixed it with a couple drops of non detergent motor oil, which works well to remove "skips"
mine were horrible, and looked ok when done, but I spang for a new set anyway from the local Chevy Dealer. 104 bucks without a discount for both.

I bought the Megulairs stuff for plastic. Cost 5 bucks. Came out fine. It will look new when I put a buffer on it next week. Nothing replaces brand new.

I took mine out, and poored some Grease Lightning in them (I think thats the name), shook it around and that cleaned the inside pretty good. Then I buffed the front with a buffer and some cleaner wax, and that cleaned them up even better.

Re: remedy that works for fogged park lights
I USED 1500 SAND PAPER AND SOME 3M EXTRA CUT. THEN I BOUGHT SOME PLATIKOTE CLEAR AND CLEARED THEM A FEW TIMES. PLUS CHANGED THE BULBS TO HYPER WHITES, CAUSE I HEARD THAT THE OTHER BULBS MAKE THE PLASTIC TINT BESIDES THE OXIDATION. THAT WORKED GREAT FOR ME, CAUSE MINE LOOKED BLACK FROM THE WATER GETTING INSIDE THEM SO I TOOK THEM APART AND THEN GLUED THEM TOGETHER.

That's what the future floor wax would be for. I can't stress how easy this is almost no elbow grease, no drill, no power ball nodda.
