Re: 1991 Z28

If the car has been well maintained and the owner has the service records based on the pictures i don't think $2,800 is out of line. A good, clean 3rd Gen is hard to find.

'its only worth what someone is willing to pay'

it looks like a nice and clean '91 Z which are somewhat hard to find in clean and unmolested state. $5500 might be a little high, but I'm sure there is room to dicker on price.

good luck, looks nice to me. how clean is the interior and under the hood?

Re: 1991 Z28

I'd say that's deffinitely a reasonable price. Kelly Blue Book doesn't mean much when it comes to these cars, especially the later Z28's which are becoming harder to find..

Yeah, I think im going to pass....

For $5500 I can get a 94-97 Z28 or TA with a sixspeed and lower miles.

Hell, I only paid $5600 for my old 96 z28 with 70k on it and that was like 3 years ago.

Re: 1991 Z28

heres the thing, you can get a 4th gen anywhere, there like civics. this is a late model third gen Z28, everything is there and the paint looks great and so does that SS hood. i bet after some hoardcore haggeling it would be well worth it.

Yeah, I still have a hard time paying 5 grand for a car with 156k …..

I told her I would give her $3500 cash… lol but I never got a email back, oh well.

Edit: If the car was a 5Speed and had T-Tops, I would have offered $4500..

Re: 1991 Z28

I think you could hold out and get a 92Z which would be woth a little more in the long run because of the Anniversary year. But a thirdgen is only worth what someone is willing to pay and how much work has been done (or are u willing to do). I see you have passed on the car but your reasoning of being able to get a better 4th gen is flawed although maybe technically correct. In the end the thirdgen will be worth more than a 4th gen. At this point 4th gens are a dime a dozen while a 91-92 Z28 (in black no less with leather) will be a better deal. Glad I got my 92 in black. Now I can sit back and watch everyone else haggle.

Follow your heart and your wallet.
